First we will visit the Silom neighborhood to find a glut of perpetually busy street market stands selling delicious freshly made dishes for approximately one US dollar each.

After surveying the busy morning street market, hop back in your air-conditioned vehicle for a 20-minute ride through the entertaining Chinatown district to reach a coconut ice cream shop set in a historic part of the old city.

Continue your investigation literally around the corner from the ice cream parlor and visit a famous mango & sticky rice shop. The shop, which has been in operation since 1932, also sells a range of popular Thai desserts.

Throughout the 27 acres of market, find vendors peddling a spectrum of merchandise from fruits, vegetables and household goods to fabrics, new and second-hand clothing, shoes, toys and taps cassettes to handicrafts, antiques, potted plants, pets of various species and army surplus goods.
