While we have created and led many tours to India in the past, this is our first Zoom Vacations tour to India for Holi, the Hindu spring festival which signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and the end of winter. It is also a colorful festive day to meet others, horseplay, laugh, heal relationships, and just not take life so seriously.
During our tour, we will be celebrating the Holi Festival of Colors as invited guests of his Royal Highness, the Maharaja of Jodhpur.
The royal celebration will take place at his gorgeous residence, the Umaid Bhawan Palace. During the festival, we will all be wearing white outfits, which will not stay white for long. Colorful powders and water are distributed to guests, and much shenanigans will ensue. Think of a football game, where the players douse the coach with a tub of water or sport-aid, only this will have bright colors of pinks and oranges. Our white clothes will look more like a Jackson Pollock painting when we are done!
And of course, incredible food, drink, and music will be flowing throughout. Some of country's best chefs will be there providing culinary delights and libations.
Follow me and Zoom Vacations on Facebook and Instagram starting February 20th to catch the tour in real time! We will also enjoy a leopard safari, stays at other incredible palaces, the Taj Mahal, and more!
